The main street is lined with Georgian and early Victorian houses and there is an exceptional range of galleries, antiques shops, a village shop/Post Office, pubs, restaurants and gift shops to suit all tastes. Warkworth has its own stretch of sandy beach and a 9 hole pay and play golf course. Perfect location for beach walks with your dog. Hosts very friendly and the welcome basket was brilliant.

Cake/milk/bread/butter/wine had all been provided for us. Initially the property was a bit chilly but this was soon rectified and the lovely log burner with unlimited wood available was a valuable addition to a windy, wet week. The Byre was spotlessly clean with a comfortable double bed, loads of hot water and ample parking. There are nice walks to Alnmouth and Amble and Cragside and Alnwick are easily driveable.

The owners were very thoughtful and when the weather turned stormy they were there to assist if required
