Marram at the Viking is a well-received holiday apartment in Seahouses, praised for its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and excellent location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, the thoughtful touches like wine and milk on arrival, and the secure environment. While some guests found the multiple security codes and small kitchen storage challenging, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many expressing a desire to return.
Guests consistently mention the spotlessness and cleanliness of the apartment, indicating a high standard of hygiene and upkeep.
The location is frequently described as excellent, with easy access to shops, the harbour, and local attractions, contributing to a positive experience.
The apartment is noted for its comfort, including comfortable beds and furnishings. However, some guests mentioned issues with parking and access, slightly impacting the comfort score.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the well-stocked kitchen and the presence of two bathrooms. Some guests experienced minor issues with maintenance and found the kitchen space limited.
While guests appreciated the wine and milk on arrival, there is not enough information to determine if such gestures are consistent or to assess the overall thoughtfulness of the host. Therefore, it's politely noted that such gifts are not guaranteed.

Horse riding is available on the cusp of the village, and there is an impressive golf course on the links close by.
The picture postcard village of Bamburgh, protected by its dramatic fortress, is only 2 miles north with its wide expanse of golden, and often empty, sandy beaches, where the tidal island of Lindisfarne, locally known as Holy Island and the birthplace of Christianity, can be viewed.
A further 2 miles up the coastline brings you to Waren Mill, which is steeped in history. Once an important port, its harbour has long since disappeared, silted up beneath the sands of the estuary. Visit Budle Bay, a bird sanctuary, where at low tide a vast expanse of mud flats is home to countless thousands of sea and land birds, making this location a haven for bird watchers.
The market town of Alnwick, with its own majestic castle, cobbled streets and friendly locals offers many facilities a few miles inland. Alnwick Garden is a popular visitor attraction, with its grand cascade waterfall and restaurant (set within the largest tree house in Europe) and fabulous theme park, Lilidorei. On rainy days discover Barter Books one of the largest second hand stores in England with a gorgeous café and cosy quirky interior. Beach 300 yards.
