The property is situated to the rear of a residential area and backs onto fields. Newbiggin-by-the-Sea has a lovely sweeping bay with an uncrowded beach even in the height of summer. The village was once a thriving fishing village but only a few fishing cobbles set off early in the morning now. Set in the bay is The Couple, a sculpture designed by Sean Henry. At the end of the bay is the Maritime Centre housing the old lifeboat, which has a small gift area and cafe, and often has art exhibitions. The promenade stretches a mile and midway is a popular ice cream parlour. Nearby Woodhorn Museum often has children’s activities and exhibitions and houses the county archives should you wish to do a genealogy hunt. Only a few miles away is Druridge Bay and Cresswell with miles of empty beaches and the start of the Heritage Coastline. A little further takes you all the way up to Bamburgh and Holy Island, which is steeped in history. Of course Northumberland doesn’t just have a beautiful coastline, it also has a highly acclaimed international Dark Sky Park and a trip over to Kielder Water is certainly worth a visit taking in the rugged landscape. Don’t forget to visit Hadrians Wall over to the west, steeped in history, where some of the museums show the struggles in years gone by. The pretty market town of Morpeth, 8 miles, has plenty of shops, pubs and places to eat. When you return from your day exploring, sit and relax in the lovely private hot tub, which can be accessed from the outhouse and is covered by a wooden gazebo for full privacy. Beach 800 yards. Shop 300 yards, pub and restaurant 800 yards.

In a quiet location close to town centre and beach. The house was very clean and had everything needed and more with the hot tub and a great welcome pack. The owner was welcoming and available if required lots of good details in the information pack. The garden was enclosed so very dog friendly. The only drawback was the local beach does not allow dogs at this time of year however there are beaches nearby and Needle Point is great for giving the docs a run. Full marks would certainly recommend and visit again

The house is excellent. Clean and well equipped. There are a couple of small changes needed (but only in our opinion.) 1. The lounge TV is nearly attached to the ceiling...it needs resited at least 24" lower. 2. There are no good mirrors upstairs for getting dressed and hair sorted. Struggled to see more than top of my head Bed was great. Plenty of space in the rooms and fantastic safe garden space - our dog was so happy in it. Kitchen was very well equipped and was delighted to find a good air fryer as well as a microwave. I used both washing machine and tumble dryer which meant no dirty pile of washing to pack going home. Hot tub was lovely. Enid was very friendly and helpful. The location was ideal for us with a dog, near to lots of green spaces. The distance to the main shops and pubs meant we enjoyed getting loads of steps every day. The surrounding villages and beaches are brilliant to explore. Recommend the house for a great holiday.

The house is on a quiet housing estate just 15mins walk to the beach, which is really beautiful. Cresswell beach is just along the coast with sand dunes and a wide sweeping bay. It was a good base to get around Northumberland, the hot tub was lovely and warm on arrival and there was a super welcome pack for us including milk, tea and coffee - perfect! The garden is very private and had the weather been better we would have spent more time there!
