So quiet and beautiful, plus heatwave so outside a lot. Met plenty of lovely people also enjoying their breaks. No hob, oven or microwave were used as situated close to several dog friendly pubs. We will definitely recommend and revisit. Pet Vax a nice touch. Telly not used until last evening, didn't manage to work out how to use, just managed radio channels, instructions would have been helpful, reverted to a DVD from the stack supplied. Nothing to diminish our lovely break, but some constructive feedback, which would have been nicer to do with a comment box in the lodge. Really not worth bothering the owner with at the time as end of season jobs. Kitchen under sink kickboard needs fixing, bit of a thump on the toe knuckles when washing up, falls off randomly, hubby wedged back up temporary fix. Dinning chairs showing signs of wear n tare, the sun beats down on these through the beautiful arched window so I should think this is causing them to age. No plug in the bathroom sink, didn't cause an issue, might for the next group. Vax hadn't been emptied by the previous people and filters blocked, hubby knew his way round the machine so sorted, worth putting on a cleaners/caretakers check list to ensure working. None of the above detract from the serenity of the beautiful site.

Really relaxing. Great base to explore other places in Northumberland. Longframlington village beautiful. We had a meal in the Granby Inn which was tasty and great size portion. The bar staff could not have been more helpful. Longhorsely pub the shoulder of mutton very different dog friendly and the local people brilliant
