The master bedroom comes with its own en-suite shower room, whilst the twin bedroom has Jack-and-Jill access to a family bathroom with an elegant bath so you can enjoy a warm and relaxing soak at the end of a tiring day. Throw open the patio doors during the summer months and let the cool breeze wash over the interior, before stepping out onto the enclosed decking area with a refreshing beverage to sit out and enjoy the evening sun and dine alfresco. While you're in the area, make sure you visit Northumberland Country Zoo, which has a range of exotic animals that are a must-see during your trip, such as the Canadian lynx, meerkats and Parma wallaby. Travel towards Alnwick Castle for a spot of history and for Harry Potter inspired events such as broomstick training, as well as getting the chance to explore this historic interior of the castle and the formal gardens. If you don't fancy cooking one evening, venture towards any one of the nearby towns such as Rothbury, Alnwick or Morpeth for that fine dining experience, or for their many independent shops and supermarkets for picking up any last-minute essentials. Further afield is the Northumberland Coast AONB for a plethora of country sites and access to some lovely sandy beaches. 43 The Pines is an excellent base for touring the very best of Northumberland.
