Guests say

Coomb's Cottage in Northumberland is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its comfort, stunning views, and dog-friendly garden. Guests have enjoyed the cosy atmosphere, local walks, and the proximity to Berwick upon Tweed & Area. The property is noted for being well-equipped and providing a relaxing break, although some guests mentioned minor issues with cleanliness and maintenance.

Most guests found the cottage to be comfortable and well-presented, but there were isolated comments about the need for a more thorough clean in some areas, such as the sofa and cutlery tray. These seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views and quiet setting. It is a great base for exploring the local area, with easy access to beach and river walks, and friendly village pubs nearby.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as cosy, comfortable, and spacious, with clean and comfortable beds. The addition of a non-slip mat in the shower indicates responsiveness to guest feedback for comfort.

The property is well-equipped with electrical appliances and a conservatory. However, some guests noted issues such as a leaking sunroom roof and a TV aerial that could be improved. The provision of a new mop shows attention to maintenance.

While some guests appreciated the welcome pack, others found it underwhelming. As gifts can vary and are not guaranteed, it is not possible to accurately score thoughtfulness based on the available reviews.

    Lovely position, comfortable, clean.

Comfortable stay with pub and village shop in easy walking distance. Nice sized kitchen, well equipped. Sun room is lovely and warm, but roof leaks in heavy rain. Welcome pack consists of a bottle of beer and packet of biscuits. Let down by lack of attention to detail - towels only provided for two guests, not three, and not change of linen for two week stay. Arrived to find a cardboard box of damp towels in the kitchen.
