There are ample amenities, including a great pub and a local shop nearby.  Alnwick, Morpeth and Rothbury are all easily reached and the unspoilt golden beaches of the Heritage Coast are only a short drive.  Other nearby attractions are Whitehouse Farm Centre and the small Northumbrian Zoo, only a few miles away, and always a huge hit with the smaller visitors.  Very close by is Linden Hall Spa and Golf Club, should you wish to treat yourself in the spa or for a round of golf.  There are plenty of walking opportunities in the Cheviot Hills, Simonside or Ingram Valley.  Rothbury is only a few miles away with the wonderful Crags. . .
