Guests say

Guests appreciate the spaciousness, good shower, and well-equipped kitchen of The Old Drapery. Its central location in Haltwhistle is praised for convenience to local amenities and transport links. The town's friendly atmosphere and quietness, even on busy nights, are noted. Some guests mentioned minor issues with comfort and maintenance.

The property is generally described as clean and well-kept, with a spotless shower room. However, one guest found dead woodlice under the sofas, which suggests a need for more thorough cleaning in some areas.

The central location is highly regarded for its proximity to pubs, shops, and public transport, making it an ideal base for exploring the area and Hadrian's Wall. Despite being on the High St, the property is noted for its quietness.

While the property is spacious and generally comfortable, some guests found the bed too hard and noted the absence of a bedroom mirror. The heating schedule was also a concern for one guest.

Facilities like the kitchen are well-received, but there are comments about the lack of information regarding rubbish disposal and bed preparation upon exit. One guest experienced an issue with hot water availability, and another had difficulty obtaining the entry code.

There are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

Good Apartment was o.k.very spacious and shower was good, and kitchen had everything we needed.Lovely town and easy to get to places from here, coast to coast.Black Bull pub across the road is a lovely run pub with very good food.BadBed was too hard for us, no mirror in bedroom, TV was too high on the wall.I dropped some coins and had to move the sofa and we found alot of dead wood lice underneath both sofas.Heating is controlled,so cant put on when you wanted. I got an email saying it comes on in morning and at night and I replied with what times but didn't get a response.

Lovely place to stay. Really enjoyed my time there. Public transport links good as is the bus that takes you across to Hexham via all the sites on hadrian's wall. Good walks locally as well as up to the wall.

Overall no problems.Clean and comfortable and right in the town center.Plenty of local leaflets but no visitors book. No info on what to do with rubbish or how to leave the bed on exit, also no hot water Saturday morning for some reason which wasn't a real problem as I was leaving.
