We were in Haltwhistle to walk Hadrian's Wall and The Drover's Rest was an ideal base. The open plan living room/dining area/kitchen was spacious and overlooked the town square. The bathroom and bedroom were both clean and comfortable.There's no on site parking but it was no problem to use the local Sainsbury carpark which was only a couple of hundred metres away.Haltwhistle was very convenient as a base to visit the main Wall sites and has everything you'd expect in a small town including good transport links.Would definitely recommend The Drover's Rest to anyone looking for a small town base from which to explore.

Clean and comfortable apartment. Excellent location for public transport. Feel that shower would benefit from soap dish and handrail as no non slip mat.
