Shepherds Heft is a lovely traditional stone cottage in stunning countryside close to Hadrian’s Wall. The property is very comfortable with three bedrooms accommodating 6 people - a great spot for a family get together or celebration with plenty of activities on the doorstep. Step inside to a spacious open plan living area on the ground floor with wood burning stove, TV with Freeview and DVD - a lovely sociable spot where all the family can relax and dine together. Upstairs there’s one double bedroom, a second bedroom with bunk beds and a single bed. The third bedroom has a single bed and is accessed via bifold doors. Outside, the shared patio with barbecue and picnic table and benches is a lovely place to relax.

This is an excellent base to explore the most interesting sections of Hadrian's Wall. Being midway along the stretch of the Wall, the Roman Forts of Housesteads, Vindolanda and Birdoswald can all be reached within a few minutes by car. Excellent location for wildlife, scenery and outdoor pursuits - great for walking and fishing and pony trekking available locally. Nearby outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts and a good range of amenities, good rail and bus connections. The market town of Hexham with its Saxon abbey is 13 miles east, whilst the Border city of Carlisle is 20 miles west. Easy access to Northumberland National Park, the Lake District, the Dales and the Scottish Borders. Golf, fishing and horse riding locally.
