The front of this Northumberland cottage boasts stunning views of the surrounding forest and the North Tyne River after it exits Kielder Water. With lovely furnishings, this Falstone cottage provides three bedrooms and a beautifully fitted, modern kitchen, a great place to prepare home-cooked food before everyone gathers together in the dining room.
The welcoming sitting room has a comfy leather sofa and chair, perfect to relax in after a day out walking or cycling. The gardens to the side of this Falstone cottage meander up past the stream and directly to a woodland cycle path, which leads into the Kielder Forest, Kielder dam and the Lakeland Way cycle route, all just a five minute ride away, plus only 150 yards from this holiday home is the North Tyne River, where fishing can be enjoyed (permit required). The beds were exceptionally comfortable and all the bedrooms light and airy. The towels were of good quality and I felt very at home. The kitchen was a good working modern design. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. My dog loved the garden and it was dog friendly. The area was prefect for walking and as a base for further adventures.
