Guests say

Water's Edge Holiday Home is a well-regarded cottage in Chathill, appreciated for its clean, comfortable interiors and tranquil surroundings. Guests enjoy the wildlife viewable from the decking, the proximity to the beach, and the cosy sunroom. While some guests mention issues with parking and exterior maintenance, the overall experience is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

The property is consistently described as clean, with only minor comments about the exterior and outdoor furniture needing attention. The interior cleanliness is praised, contributing to a high score.

The location is generally appreciated for its proximity to the beach and local amenities, though one review mentions an undesirable area and parking issues. The positive aspects of the location, such as the views and wildlife, support a good score.

Comfort receives mixed reviews. While many find the property cosy and the beds comfortable, there are complaints about an uncomfortable bed and bedding. The majority of feedback is positive, but the negative points lower the score slightly.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-appointed kitchen and comfortable living spaces. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues, such as the iced-up icebox and outdoor furniture cleanliness, which suggest room for improvement.

While guests mention a welcome basket and the property's provision for different weather conditions, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of thoughtful gestures like gifts. Therefore, the score is set to null, and guests should note that such amenities are subject to availability and not guaranteed.

The property is clean and comfortable and in a really good location for both walks direct from the property and exploring the area. The only downside for us personally was the small ice compartment at the top of the fridge was so iced up on arrival it was impossible to use so we defrosted it ourselves so that we could use it for the rest of the week. Apart from that we would definitely return and recommend

I'm sad to say I would not return to Waters Edge. Beadnell is a lovely part of Northumberland but the cottage was situated in an undesirable area. The interior of the cottage was very nice but the exterior was scruffy and needed lots of attention. The bed was awfully uncomfortable to the point where my husband slept on the spare bed and I slept on the sofa. The bedding was hollowfibre making the night sweaty, itchy and very uncomfortable.Parking at this property was an absolute nightmare even though we did have an allocated space. Other residents had no consideration on there parking causing us to have to park up the road. I feel the property was over priced.
