The Nest in Chathill, Northumberland, is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its comfort, well-equipped facilities, and excellent location close to the beach. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, the thoughtful touches like fresh flowers and a pre-arrival call from the owner, and the peaceful garden with local wildlife. While most reviews are positive, a few mention areas for improvement such as bedding comfort and minor cleanliness issues.
Most guests found The Nest to be clean and tidy, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, a couple of reviews mentioned dust and a shower cubicle not meeting standards, which slightly impacts the overall high cleanliness rating.

Guests generally regard The Nest as comfortable and cosy, with a warm welcome and home comforts. Some concerns were raised about the adequacy of bedding in the double room and the size of the bed, which slightly lowers the comfort score.
The property is well-equipped, with guests appreciating the maintenance and cleanliness. There are mentions of thoughtful extras in the kitchen and a well-kept garden. A few guests noted the lack of a dishwasher and the need for better kitchen pans.
The owners' thoughtfulness is evident through gestures like fresh flowers, a pre-arrival call, and providing local recommendations. While these personal touches are highly appreciated, guests should note that such gestures may vary with each stay.

Property was as described could do with some attention in some areas but we had a good stay. Garden was nice and the location was ideal for both the beach and the village. Beadnell is a good base to explore this beautiful region.

We also used the bus service which was nice to be able to leave the car. ( check the times on the actual bus stop ) there are very nice places to eat out as well, and a good general store selling a good range of items. The house is excellent very comfortable and spotlessly clean, we were lucky with the weather and it was nice to sit out in the garden overlooking the field, as it gets dark look out for the bats. We had a wonderful week and look forward to visiting again.
