The magnificent coastline this region is renowned for is a mere 4 miles away. Embleton beach offers a wide expanse of golden sands, and Beadnell Bay, very popular with water sports enthusiasts, is only 5 miles from Little Barn Tynely Farm. A further couple of miles up the coastline brings you to Seahouses where there are tea rooms, shops and a choice of restaurants. Boat trips to the Farne Islands, famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony, depart regularly from its harbour. A further 3 miles north is the picture-perfect village of Bamburgh, dominated by its majestic fortress. Holy Island can be seen from the unspoilt golden sandy beach. Travelling 7 miles inland from Little Barn Tynely Farm is the market town of Alnwick where there is a wide choice of facilities available. Alnwick Castle and Gardens is well worth a visit. Tynely is a small hamlet situated about a mile east of the A1, giving easy access to explore this stunning part of north Northumberland and the Scottish Borders too. Beach 4 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.

Excellent accommodation in a beautiful setting . Everything you could possibly need is there with dishwasher and freezer . The welcome hamper was a lovely thought , thank you Helen . We enjoyed watching the swallows, hares and deer so don’t forget your binoculars!

What a fantastic cottage located on a working farm in a quite isolated area.. The cottage was well proportioned, well equipped and immaculately clean.. Beds and chairs were very comfortable and there is a large smart TV. WIFI was quick enough to reliably stream HD TV but did occasionally drop out. All in all I had nothing to complain about and plenty to enthuse about and would be very happy to return again.

This was our 3rd visit to Little Barn. We love it for its location and the fact that it's so peaceful and it suits our needs. Being so close to the A1 it's easy to get to all if our favourite places. We will be back next year.
