The magnificent coastline this region is renowned for is a mere 4 miles away. Embleton beach offers a wide expanse of golden sands, and Beadnell Bay, very popular with water sports enthusiasts, is only 5 miles from Little Barn Tynely Farm. A further couple of miles up the coastline brings you to Seahouses where there are tea rooms, shops and a choice of restaurants. Boat trips to the Farne Islands, famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony, depart regularly from its harbour. A further 3 miles north is the picture-perfect village of Bamburgh, dominated by its majestic fortress. Holy Island can be seen from the unspoilt golden sandy beach. Travelling 7 miles inland from Little Barn Tynely Farm is the market town of Alnwick where there is a wide choice of facilities available. Alnwick Castle and Gardens is well worth a visit. Tynely is a small hamlet situated about a mile east of the A1, giving easy access to explore this stunning part of north Northumberland and the Scottish Borders too. Beach 4 miles. If you like peace and quiet, views and plenty of wildlife then this is the cottage for you. Whilst sat on the decking we saw deer, stoats, hares, rabbits, hedghogs, pheasants and even a barn owl. The cottage is well equipped and well positioned to strike out at many of the local Northumbrian beauty spots. I would not hesitate to recommend it to others. The welcome pack was a nice touch too.

We had a wonderful week at little barn, the cottage is homely and comfy. It's great to be able to sit outside after a busy day and enjoy the resident wildlife from hares and birds to bats and owls-bring your binoculars! Perfect spot only 10 mins from the beach. Easy to reach Alnwick and Bamburgh too.Helen the host was helpful and friendly, we would thoroughly recommend if you are looking for a lovely relaxing stay in the country within easy reach of attractions.
