Guests say

Gullsway is a well-located cottage praised for its spaciousness, proximity to the beach, and comfortable bedding. The property has received positive remarks for its scenic surroundings and well-equipped kitchen. While some guests noted areas needing improvement, the overall experience is seen as good value for money, with many expressing a desire to return.

Cleanliness has been noted as an area for improvement, with some guests mentioning the need for a deep clean, stained mattress protectors, and a musty smell. However, the kitchen and some other areas were found to be very clean, indicating inconsistency in cleanliness standards.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach, local shops, and eateries. Guests appreciate the quiet beach and the scenic walks available, making it an ideal spot for a peaceful getaway.

The property is generally considered comfortable, with a cosy living room, good water pressure, and comfortable beds. However, some guests found certain mattresses uncomfortable and noted that some furnishings could be updated for enhanced comfort.

Facilities are adequate with a well-equipped kitchen and sufficient crockery. However, guests have reported issues with maintenance such as broken garden chairs, a smoking oven, and a non-functional shower holder, suggesting a need for better upkeep.

While some guests mentioned a welcome pack and a small cleaning pack, there is not enough consistent information about the provision of gifts or additional thoughtful touches to accurately score this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Absolutely loved the accommodation. Great locaton, within a few minutes walk from the beach or pubs. The accommodation was clean, presentable and very equipped. It would of been nice to have a walk in shower but was not a problem. Would definitely recommend a d would definitely visit again. The only negative about the trip was having to plan your shopping. The nearest big supermarket was 10 miles away. 5/5 ❤️

We stayed here for two nightsIt was a central location for us to do lots of dog walks, there is a local pub in the village that do mealsThe kitchen had more than enough utensils which we did use and the log burner was so homely keeping the place very warmAnd the welcome pack was nice gestureWould definitely return.

We arrived to find not a single tea bag, no coffee and not a drop of milk just to make a welcome drink. There were some biscuits left in the kitchen by the kettle, we assumed were the welcome pack. These were out of date. We looked around and found that the dishwasher had dishes still in there, we didn't know if they were clean or not. We later found out the oven wasn't working. There was no tea towel in the kitchen and only a few sheets of kitchen paper left. In the bathroom there wasn't even toilet paper!!The living room looked lovely (larger than the oics) and we decided to warm up by lighting the wood burning stove. Sadly, there wasn't anything to light a fire - we wouldn't expect lots of logs, but not even a few bits and some kindling for arrival. We didn't know at first, but the small local shop closed at 4pm, so there's no chance to stock up after exploring the property. There was only 1 double bed made up with a bottom sheet, so be clear up front if you want to use all the bedrooms. We did report things after arrival and were asked to leave the key next morning so the oven could be fixed. As we weren't sure if we could cook, we had to stay out all day. On returning we did find the oven fixed and a welcome pack with teabags, coffee, biscuits, toilet rolls and even tea towels had been supplied. Sadly, we were checking out next morning, so it was too late for it to make up the poor reception on arrival. There are many choices locally, go elsewhere!!!
