A short drive away is the beach town of Beadnell renowned for its surfing sailing and scuba diving centred on a huge bay stretching for miles. Nature lovers will enjoy a trip from Seahouses to the Farne Islands easily reached by boat with the opportunity to see seals and local birdlife. Harry Potter fans and history buffs alike will be thrilled with a visit to Alnwick Castle featured as Hogwarts in the first two films. Internationally known for its 16th-century castle and medieval history the Holy Island of Lindisfarne is less than 20 miles away.
