Another enjoyable stay at Capt Ron’s, everything great as usual 😊.I only have 1 minor complaint ☹️, a bigger waste bin in the kitchen please. We’ll be back again next year regardless.

Captain Ron's is a great place to stay it's so bright and airy. It's everything that you could wish for, for a place to stay whilst you are away a real home from home with the added advantage that it is only a 5 minute walk to the beautiful Beadnell beach. I would definitely recommend staying at Caprain Ron's.

Our 2nd stay at Captain Ron's, if you want a home from home , this apartment fits the bill . So comfortable, the beds, bedding . The kitchen is equipped with all the pans and trays etc that you'll need . And a Nespresso coffee machine, so take some pods with you. The lounge is really lovely, comfortable settees and a relaxing chair. Table with 4 quality chairs. And as for Beadnell, you will not find a better area to stay. Walking , 5 minutes to the beach and harbour. 1.5 hrs to Low Newton and the best crab sandwiches ever in the Ship Inn (owned by the National trust). Bus for return journey if you don't want to walk.Seahouses along the beach or cliff top , another 1.5 hrs walk with something to see all the time. Eider duck in the sea and harbour, a trip to the Farne Islands from late April to late June is a must, at busy times it's better to book. And take an old hat with you when the Terns are nesting and have chicks. If you have been before you'll know why, if it's your first trip , you'll find out why... ! Walking to Bamburgh Castle is about 2 hrs and a really easy walk, all on the flat of the beach .If you're going further afield, Alnwick , apart from Castle and Gardens , the town has loads to see and do. Cragside and Wallington , both NT.The Craster Arms and the Landing in Beadnell are well worth a visit. If you are looking for something really special, The Jolly Fisherman in Craster is the place to eat. A lot more that your normal pub food.Wherever, whatever you do, you will want to return.
