Holy Island 6.8 miles. Corbett Cottage is a cosy 19th-century, redbrick cottage, in the small hamlet of New Haggerston, near Holy Island, Northumberland. Perfectly located for small families who wish to explore the beautiful Northumberland Coast Cheviot Hills and Northumberland National Park. The ground floor houses a character-filled open-plan living area; a fabulous woodburning stove, grandfather clock and comfortable sofas. Double doors from here reveal a delightful little conservatory, set with pretty furniture, this is a lovely spot to sit and read a book with a refreshing drink of your choice. The charming bedrooms rest on the first floor; a double and a double/twin will perfectly accommodate a small family. The interior is topped off with a stylish tiled bathroom, get yourself ready in style before a day of exploring the nearby Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve. Spend some time relaxing in the peaceful enclosed garden to the back of the house with the refreshing countryside air to accompany you. Nearby are the attractive seaside towns of Spittal and just six miles away is Berwick-upon-Tweed, both idyllically placed with heavenly sandy beaches. Berwick provides an array of high-quality amenities as well as some wonderful architecture including Berwick Caste and the 16th-century remains of King's Mount. Nearby is the awe-inspiring Northumberland National Park for a multitude of paths and trails to walk or cycle along. Slightly further afield is the Scottish capital of Edinburgh, offering a wonderful day out for all of the family to enjoy. A well-located cottage to be enjoyed all-year-round.
A coastal town on the River Tweed, with Berwick-upon-Tweed the other side. Spittal is a fine spot for a break by the sea with its shops and pubs as well as an amusement arcade and a beach, one of the nicest in Northumberland. Every year there is a Seaside Festival with fairground rides, food and other entertainment. Nearby sits Berwick-upon-Tweed, offering amenities and activities including castle ruins and a golf club. The Northumberland National Park is also accessible, boasting opportunities for walking and cycling.

Please note that the stairs are steep and narrow however there are banisters both sides for support.

Well positioned for visiting historic and sites of interest. Cottage was warm and welcoming, flowers and essential products was a very thoughtful touch. Comfortable bed , cozy log fire and secluded position all added to a very relaxed, memorable break .

Lovely cottage good location for touring the Northumberland coast and countryside on arrival they owners supplied milk butter and rolls that was a nice touch I rate the cottage 10/10
