The location was perfect for visiting the Northumberland coast and the house was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of potential, and the garden was lovely. However, the lack of attention to detail was disappointing. Outside the front entrance was dirty and un-inviting. There was no welcome pack, not even a pint of milk. There was no soap in the dispensers and no kitchen roll on the spindle. The bathroom, overlooking the working farmyard, has clear glass in the window and no curtain or blind. And the very worst was the disgusting state of the toilet brush and holder. For all of these reasons, we would be unable to recommend it.

A very spacious ex farmhouse, in a quiet location. It is comfortable with central heating if needed and is reasonably well equipped. Don't expect a welcome pack so bring everything you immediately need. Food shop in Belford about 10 mins by car. Farmhouse has a nice private garden with outdoor seating. Access is via a single track metalled road directly from A1. Signage from the A1 could be improved, but that said we didn't have any real difficulty turning in or pulling out.

What a beautiful spacious and homely farmhouse. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The beds were so comfy and so spacious. I loved the bedspread. The living room was so cosy with the snuggle chair and in the prime spot to turn and look out the panoramic window. The garden was huge and my kids were entertained for hours playing out there. They even ate some apples from the huge apple tree. The views from the landing window were stunning. You could see Holy Island in the distance and if you’re a trainspotter (like my son) it’s great for that! Also a nice snuggle chair on the landing too. Great if you wanted comfort out of the way of everyone. The kitchen is again spacious and lots of cupboard space, good powerful hob and integrated fridge freezer. One downside was that there were no scissors. The bathrooms had no hand soap, thankfully I brought some after reading a previous review. The downstairs toilet is only a cold water tap too. Everything was in order in terms of workable. (As a previous review also mentioned this.) There’s a dining room which we didn’t use as sat around the kitchen table instead. It was very dark with no natural light due to the bushes in the garden covering the window. Lovely dining table and deco. The place was clean when we arrived the only little issue I would say was all the spiders and webs on corners of ceilings left. My young daughter was pointing them all out and making an issue. We did have to remind her we were on a farm but did have to get rid of them to put her mind at ease. Overall a lovely, memorable stay.
