If the sun is shining there is a gorgeous patio garden complete with table and chairs and a bench(not enclosed), so you can indulge in time eating and drinking alfresco. At bedtime, there are two stylish bedrooms with feature beamed ceilings and picture windows, they are well-appointed and the perfect space to rest your weary heads and recharge your batteries. In the morning, after a quick dip in the shower or a relaxing soak in the bath, you’re ready to get out and about exploring. Budle Bay is a simply captivating location with mud flats attracting migrating birds and miles of sandy beaches. Bamburgh is just a few miles away and as well as its famous castle, also has a good selection of shops and amenities. Other towns worth visiting in the region include Alnwick, Seahouses (just a few miles away) and you can even head to the border and visit the ever-popular town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. Activities to look forward to in the area include golf, sailing (from Seahouses to the Farne Islands), hiking, cycle rides and horse-riding. Offering elegant accommodation close to the beach, No9 Budle Sands is the perfect holiday destination.

The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.

It was peaceful, comfortable and just the rest I needed. My dogs loved the beach and when we came back it was warm and cosy. A lovely hot shower with ample hot water and fluffy white towels. The bed was so comfortable and linen fresh and spotless! There was a problem with the front door handle which came off the bar running between the handles which I managed to push back on. This did not make any difference to my stay and I would love to come back soon. Thank you.

Well appointed and every thing you need is there. A gentle walk in to Bamburgh around the coast. Or there is a bus stop just outside on the main road. So many place to explore.

Downside of the property is the compact dining kitchen, not practical for four adults and two dogs. Would definitely stay in Budle Sands again but not in this property. Rather niggled that having paid over £800 for a 4 night stay in February there wasn't even a spare toilet roll!!
