Guests say

The Steadings in Alnwick is a well-received cottage, praised for its comfort, cleanliness, and excellent location. Guests have enjoyed the cosy atmosphere, well-equipped facilities, and the property's proximity to local attractions. The enclosed garden and log burner are particularly appreciated, making it a great choice for families and those seeking a relaxing retreat.

Most guests found the cottage clean and welcoming, though there was an isolated report of cobwebs and spiders upon arrival. The issue seems to be an exception rather than the norm, as other reviews highlight the property's spotlessness.

The location is highly praised for its convenience to Alnwick, coastal beaches, and other attractions. It's described as great for exploring the east coast, with some noting the quiet lane for walks. However, one review mentioned proximity to a road affecting garden tranquillity.

Guests consistently mention the cottage's cosy and welcoming atmosphere, with comfortable furnishings and a log burner. The spacious lounge and well-equipped rooms contribute to a comfortable stay, although there was a minor note about the need for better bedroom blinds.

The cottage is well-equipped, with a fully functional kitchen and secure garden. However, some guests noted minor maintenance issues like a dripping tap and non-lockable toilets. The presence of a log burner and ample parking are positives.

While some guests mentioned the lack of a welcome pack, which is not guaranteed, there is not enough information to assess the overall thoughtfulness of the host in terms of providing gifts or extra touches that enhance the guest experience.

This was a comfortable and well equipped cottage in a perfect location for visiting Alnwick, Bamburgh and the beautiful coastal beaches. It is however, the first cottage in many years of booking, that has not included a welcome pack. Not a major issue, but a surprising one considering it's an opportunity to promote the area.
