About this property

Boasting spacious and well-presented three-storey accommodation in a tranquil part of Alnmouth, Northumberland, Rose House is a warm and welcoming property, ideal for both families and groups of eight guests. Enjoying sea views and a prime position near a host of amenities and the shoreline, Rose Cottage is delightfully styled, mixing both a character and contemporary feel throughout. Benefit from a permit parking space before travelling through the enclosed patio, ideal for an alfresco affair. Enter the spacious sitting room, offering an extensive seating area, solid wood flooring, feature exposed stone wall and an ornamental fireplace which all add up to create a really inviting space, where guests can gather and unwind. The extensive kitchen is fully-equipped, with everything needed to fulfil your self-catering needs, opening into a lovely dining room, where there is a rustic table just made for sociable mealtimes. Continue to the conservatory, yet another space either for guests to gather and socialise or for a nook away, where guests can curl up with a good book in front of the woodburning stove. Should the weather allow it, locate the rear courtyard for more of a private feel, perfect for eating and drinking in the sunshine. When sleep calls, select from four well-presented bedrooms, all offering a relaxing space to unwind and rest, complete with breath-taking sea views, and large, picture windows, allowing for the light to flow in; you’ll find two king-size rooms with en-suites on the first floor, followed by a super-king-size (zip/link) and a twin to the second floor. Be sure to enjoy some self-care in the bathroom, featuring an indulgent roll-top bath, whilst there is a ground-floor shower room for those who prefer a quick refresh. Come morning, prepare to explore Alnmouth, its miles of sandy shoreline, a golf course, and a host of popular eateries and shops. By car reach the scenic town of Alnwick, famous for its castle and gardens, or drive a little further to attractions such as Hadrian’s Wall, Howick Hall, and Gardens, Dunstanburgh Castle and Northumberland County Zoo. Board one of the many boat trips over to the Farne Islands where you might catch sight of an unusual bird or seal, which if you love wildlife, you’ve come to the right place with RSPB reserves at Annstead Dunes and Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre nearby. For a family seascape, book Rose House.

Alnmouth, a picturesque resort well-liked by golfers and those seeking a quiet holiday, is located only 4 miles east of Alnwick. The hamlet, which serves as Alnwick's port today, is located on a small peninsula jutting out into the North Sea and River Aln. Today, the region has reverted to its natural state and offers a good selection of stores, bars, and eateries in addition to a fantastic "links" golf course, some fantastic rivers for fishing, and miles and miles of magnificent beaches and sand dunes to explore with breath-taking views of the North Sea. With its renowned historic castle, Poison Garden, which offers guided walks through hazardous plants, and a range of pubs and restaurants, Alnwick is only a short drive away.

' Easy access to the beach and places to eat and within driving distance to other favourite spots such as Boulmer, Alnwick and other coastal villages. Will be booking again next year.
