Nearby Embleton Bay is a gorgeous sandy beach with other beaches worth visiting including Beadnell Bay Beach and Newton Haven Beach. Just a few miles away is the stunning Dunstanburgh Castle and if you’ve got a taste for history then check out Alnwick Castle, Preston Tower, Howick Hall and Bamburgh Castle. If you want a holiday in a beautiful home-from-home with outstanding views of the sea, then you’ve come to the right place with a stay at No6 Sea Lane.

The pretty village of Embleton is ideally placed for exploring one of the most attractive stretches of Northumberland's Heritage Coastline. A beautiful grassy path runs from the village to neighbouring Craster, alongside the sea and past Dunstanburgh Castle - the largest ruined castle in Northumberland. Embleton itself has a village pub and a local hotel, and there is an excellent range of amenities in nearby Alnwick. The gardens at nearby Howick Hall are open during the summer and are noted for their beauty, whilst Alnwick Castle and Garden are a 'must-see' when visiting the area. For the keen golfer, Dunstanburgh Links Course is about 1 mile away - just one of several excellent courses in the vicinity.

Great place to host our pre Christmas get together with friends

There is a large lounge/open plan kitchen which leads into a separate dining room. All the bedrooms are large- two have en-suites - with comfortable beds and the bathroom is enormous!! The house is located at the top of the road leading to Embleton beach and every room has far reaching views of the sea and coastline from Dunstanburgh Castle to Low Newton. The village has a good grocery/farm shop/post office and a cosy pub serving good meals (booking advised). There are so many places to visit in the area and, if you don't want to take your car, there is a good bus service (note that public car park charges can be quite expensive). We really enjoyed our stay at No. 6 Sea Lane and have no hesitation in recommending it.
