Oswin Cottage is a mid-terraced Victorian, stone built terraced cottage, situated within the historic town of Alnwick. This charming property offers welcoming accommodation in this popular market town. The cosy living room is tastefully furnished and one step down leads to the kitchen with a dining area, where there is an impressive original Purvis and Co feature range. There is a small sun room at the rear of the property and both bedrooms are on the first floor, along with the traditionally furnished family bathroom with walk-in shower.
There is a wide array of amenities including a cinema/playhouse, restaurants, independent shops and a variety of pubs available within Alnwick. Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland, (and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts) is a popular visitor attraction. The Alnwick Gardens are a spectacular interpretation of a formal garden, including a grand cascade waterfall and poison garden. We stayed at Oswin cottage for a week in March. It was very clean and had all the essentials provided for a comfortable stay. It is only a short drive from the A1 and a 10 minute walk from the centre of Alnwick. There were a few general issues which have been forwarded to the owners, who replied that they are either dealing with or will deal with it.Overall we found the cottage very good value for money and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again or recommend to others.

Very well placed cottage and especially convenient for everyday shopping. Bedrooms are a bit cramped but the beds themselves very comfortable. Lovely and warm too.
