Part of an original working Malthouse, this unique building is steeped in history and has been converted into a collection of elegant apartments, which ooze charm and character at every turn. The apartment is independent of the main building, and has a private parking space right at the door.
Stylish and elegant, with a high level of comfort, the industrial past is reflected in the fabulous décor and furnishings. The spacious open plan living area makes a fabulous social space, from modern kitchen to light filled living room. The master bedroom has a sumptuous kingsize bed, Smart TV and en-suite shower room. The second bedroom is superking and for flexibility can be twin beds on request.
Well located, the apartment is set within a modern, vibrant town centre complemented by cobbled pavements and historic stone houses. Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland and film location for ’Harry Potter’s’, Hogwarts, is a popular visitor attraction only a gentle stroll away. Visit the Alnwick Garden, a spectacular interpretation of a formal garden, including the Grand Cascade waterfall and poison garden. Here guests can dine in the restaurant of the largest tree house in Europe, nestled in the treetops, with a roaring log fire in the wintertime, and a reputation for excellence. Maltster’s Rest is an excellent base from which you can easily explore the beautiful 20-mile stretch of Northumberland Heritage coastline, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The coastal town of Alnmouth, with its beautiful beach is just 4½ miles to the east and for walkers you have the wild and unspoilt expanses of the heather-capped Cheviot Hills to the west. The apartment was very stylish, warm and comfortable with good sized rooms and a well equipped kitchen. Dedicated parking space was a bonus. Would certainly book again.

Had an amazing 7 day break at Maltster's Rest in Alnwick. The Apartment was ideally located close to all amenities and local attractions; it is clearly maintained to a good standard with everything you'd expect and more. Would definitely visit again!

Had a fabulous stay at the Maltsters Rest. The apartment felt luxurious. We wanted for nothing - it seemed to have everything that you would need for a comfortable stay.The decor, the bedding, cushions, decorative items etc were all so tastefully done.The location was perfect for where we needed to be. Great for exploring Northumberland and great for getting around Alnwick on foot. The castle, gardens and the shops are all so near.There was a lovely welcome pack on our arrival, with flowers, beer, wine and delicious cookies. We also had free use of the coffee machine and pods.I would certainly recommend the apartment.
