Alnmouth, located just 5 kilometres (3 mi) east of Alnwick, is a picturesque resort that attracts golfers and those in search of a tranquil vacation. The village served as Alnwick's port in the past because of its prime location on a peninsula between the river and the North Sea. The area has been restored to its natural state and now features a wide selection of stores, eateries, a world-class "links" golf course, fantastic rivers for fishing, and countless miles of beautiful beaches and sand dunes with panoramic views of the North Sea. Would've loved a washing machine! Only downside.

Tastefully furnished and decorated. As other guests have mentioned. It was problematic taking the dogs out late at night with no direct access to the garden and no outside security lighting. The chickens and cockerels kept us entertained. Cottage lovely and warm with plenty of hot water. Have already recommended to friends who will be going to garden cottage in a couple of weeks.

Big issue was cockerels waking us up at 4-5 am. We live opposite a farm literally 100yds away so are used to all that noise but the cockerels really were a pain.
