We had a lovely stay at Fox House - it’s well situated at the bottom of the cul-de-sac, nice and quiet and great to have a parking space as the road was a little crowded with cars. Town centre easily walkable.Cottage nicely decorated, well stocked with crockery and cutlery, lovely and clean and plenty of space to sit and relax at night. If we travel as a party of four again we would happily stay here again.

Overall Fox House was good. Location was perfect for touring around Alnwick and surrounding areas. Bedrooms were great, clean and en-suite in the main bedroom excellent. Kitchen was set up well … plenty of crockery, and cooking utensils. Lounge as comfortable and tv was easy to use, wi fi was good. I only gave an average score re comfort and equipment because of the heating … any change in timings/ temp had go through the owners which for the price we were paying for the week seemed mean. It was at least for the first few days coolish and we would have appreciated control of the heating in-situ. The backyard had cigarette butts lying around and the barbecue had more butts on the griddle under the hood and hadn’t been cleaned. The house did smell of cigarette smoke but it wasn’t too bad.
