Be welcomed into this pretty stone-built cottage by the glow of a woodburning stove, encouraging you to make yourself at home in the airy open-plan living area. Here a delightful selection of sofas rest beside a historic brick fireplace, and this space also features a kitchen with contemporary amenities and décor, complementing the pale hues of the dining area, making this an excellent social hub for all guests to enjoy.
Freshen up in the family shower room before settling down in one of the two bedrooms, a double and a single, both with stylish décor and storage.
The local area of Alnmouth is one close to both a beautiful river and bay, with the River Aln offering picturesque walks, leading to an estuary filled with wildlife, as well as a spectacular sandy beach, ideal for walking, wild swimming and watersports.
The town itself offers a selection of eateries for you to choose from, including Scotts of Alnmouth and The Red Lion Inn. Alnmouth has a great golf course for you to enjoy, and for history lovers, there is the intriguing Old Battery Gun Emplacement.
Travel a little further and you can visit Warkworth Castle, or Alnwick, with its many shops, eateries, riverside walks and impressive Alnwick Castle.

Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.

only other slight problem was that no smart tv which would have been great as the house had internet - would have no problem highly recommending for a couple with a dog.

Bathroom need up date plus an extract fan to prevent black mould. shower head had black deposits of mould, and could do with a detachable shower head for the Mrs to wash her hair separately. Otherwise neat little place.
