Just outside the village of Langley-on-Tyne and only a short drive from the market town of Hexham, there are plenty of opportunities for walkers and cyclists to enjoy the many beautiful towns, villages, castles, forts and historic attractions that are all located close by. The celebrated writer, Catherine Cookson’s former home is only a few minutes’ walk away and Langley Castle is just under 2 miles away. There is a fishing lake just over a quarter of a mile away and plenty of excellent golf courses in the area too. Only 7 miles. . .
