Bamburgh is a short drive which is well worth a visit boasting a castle and some fantastic beaches as well as a good selection of shops and eateries. Other towns worth visiting while you’re out and about include Alnwick, Lindisfarne, Alnwick and Berwick and attractions to put on your bucket list include Hadrian’s Wall, Dunstanburgh Castle, Northumberland Country Zoo, a boat trip to Farne Islands and Cragside House. The pretty Northumberland village of Lucker lies in the heart of Heritage countryside, midway between the A1 and Bamburgh.
