Enjoying a convenient location near the Dalton Park Outlet Shopping Centre, brimming with amenities, whilst a short journey from the coastline, Laira offers a contemporary base for a family of six, looking to explore the North East. Benefit from a gated driveway with ample parking, before entering the property and passing through the utility, home to a washing machine and cloakroom, before reaching the well-equipped kitchen/diner; here you can rustle up tasty meals to enjoy as a group. If you'd prefer to dine alfresco, locate the rear decked area, offering an elevated position to watch the stars appear. Relax in the first sitting room, complete with plush seating, a piano, and Smart TV, or for some peace and quiet, cosy up in the second sitting room with a good book. When sleep calls, select between three well-appointed king-size bedrooms, two of which have en-suites, and the third, a TV. Complete your morning routine in the sleek bathroom, ahead of touring the county and its attractions. Laira is well-positioned near the Dalton Old Pump House, a popular wedding venue, or if you're looking to tour the delights of Seaham, you'll be in easy reach of the Durham Heritage Coast, Seaham Golf Club, and Blast Beach. Heading towards Sunderland, enjoy a stroll along Roker Pier, people watch at the marina, book tickets to attend one of the many shows exhibited at the National Glass Centre, enjoy a picnic at Roker Park, or venture to the Stadium of Light for a day of sport. Complete your break with a tour of Durham city, peppered with attractions, including the National Trust property of Crook Hall Gardens, Durham Castle, the magnificent Durham Cathedral, Durham Museum and Heritage Centre, and the nearby Botanic Garden, dotted with beautiful blooms and exotic planters. Experience all of this, as a family, at Laira.

A thriving harbour town, Seaham is situated between Sunderland and Hartlepool and on the Durham Heritage Coast. Visitors can enjoy sampling delectable cuisine at a variety of restaurants, such as The Lamp Room, Ozone Restaurant, and The Pancake Kitchen, while the necessities can be acquired at one of the neighbourhood convenience stores. In contrast to the bustling harbour, which is lined with several viewing sites, the coastline itself is broad and golden, making it excellent for strolls, especially during the warmer months. The Seaham Golf Club, Nose's Point, which offers breath-taking coastal views, and the Durham Heritage Coast Nature Reserve, which has winding walking trails that lead up into the cliffs and dunes of Durham, are some of the local attractions. You can visit the Sunderland Museum, take a leisurely stroll along Rover Wear, wander through Roker Cliff Park, or attend one of the numerous athletic events taking place at The Stadium of Light in Sunderland, which combines the finest of the coast, the city, and the countryside.

Very comfortable beds. A few more essentials like salt and pepper and extra dishwasher tablets etc would have been a nice addition. Had a lovely stay here and hope to be back

A great deal of thought by the owner was obvious. Hubby was very impressed by TV over the bath! The access was by a steep and quite narrow drive but the flat parking and turning at the top were fine. Thanks for the use of this lovely house

Beautifully presented. Plenty of space for 6. Good location. Lovely stay in this beautiful house. Tiny details for improvement like hooks for hand towel in downside loo and set of instructions for bins and appliances. These are tiny details, this cottage is superb.
