Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently note the property as one of the cleanest they've visited, with immaculate conditions praised across multiple reviews.

The property's location is highly regarded for its breathtaking views and tranquility, with easy access to local pubs and attractions like Durham and Beamish.

Reviewers frequently mention the comfort of the property, highlighting the cosy sofas, underfloor heating, and spacious rooms with luxurious fixtures.

The facilities are well-received, with a special mention of the fully equipped kitchen and hot tub. However, a slight deduction is made due to a mention of an 'eggy' smell in the bathrooms, suggesting a potential maintenance issue.

The hosts are praised for their thoughtfulness, with mentions of welcome gifts such as fizz, chocolates, milk, and eggs. While these gestures are appreciated, it is noted that such gifts are a bonus and not guaranteed.

Our second time staying at one of Chris’s cottages, both places are great with everything you need there. Attention to detail was spot on, from the towels provided, ample toilet rolls, etc. - most holiday cottages lack these so these little extras really set this property apart. High end and upmarket cottage, you can tell no expense was spared. We’ll be back again next year thanks!

The sofa was cosy, and the kitchen had every utensil you could think of. With glorious views and lots of space inside it was a fantastic stay. Oh and the underfloor heating was such a treat. Thank you !!

The views were amazing. The area around the house was lovely and quiet. More instructions in the house folder about how the heating is timed and recycling bins would be useful.
