Just back from 4 nights at Bolton Farm. Great stay in a perfect location. The cottage had everything we needed and only 3 miles from Durham city centre. The log-burner and hot tub came in very handy for November! Easy communication with Andrew the host, and would definitely stay again.

Hi The cottage was ok but lot of dust and cobwebs, sofas look nice but not comfy, the TV would not work at all, signal was hopeless in the living room, Hotub my partner used was nice, the owners were as bit noisy going out in a morning, car doors slamming, children voices, woke me up. No instructions for what to do on leaving about bedding, so we left them on the beds. Put the towels ect in the bath. The farmhouse itself needs a bit of love, lots of weeds as you drive in the carpark area. Kitchen was nice. Sorry I cannot say better results. Also it needs advertising that it's not suitable for people with disabilities as no shower cubicle.

We had a lovely 5 nights stay at this clean and comfortable converted stables. We had everything we needed for our stay and were welcomed by host Andrew and family. We enjoyed the hot tub every day with Swallows and Housemartins swooping overhead; had a barbecue twice and the weather was kind. It was lovely to visit the Italian restaurant next door and to see the waxing moon every evening. There was plenty to do and see in the local area and was our first visit to Durham. The coast is only 30 minutes drive and we enjoyed collecting sea glass at Seaham. The accommodations is well placed for sightseeing and local amenities and highly recommend.
