Make memories at this chic glamping yurt sitting in a complex of eight yurts on a 5-acre wildflower meadow on the historic Raynham Estate. Sleeping four people in three beds, it’s perfect for small families or groups of friends who are yearning to slow down and embrace the glamping lifestyle in the heart of the Norfolk countryside. Set off to explore the 700 acres of nature reserves, gardens and wetlands in Pensthorpe Natural Park (6 miles). Keep an eye out for flamingos, cranes and kingfishers as you stroll along the scenic trails. If you’re seeking a little excitement, treat yourself to a day at Fakenham Racecourse (4 miles). Or head to Houghton Hall (8 miles) to admire the magnificent 18th-century Palladian mansion that was built for Britain’s first Prime Minister, Robert Walpole. Lose yourself in grand state rooms and beautifully landscaped parklands where deer roam freely.

From your private parking area (there’s room for two cars), step inside this delightful yurt and you’ll find a glamorous open-plan space to relax in after a day of wildlife-spotting along woodland trails. Take a moment to appreciate the geometric wall decor that’s centred around a skylight that cleverly makes the space feel both vast and intimate. A cosy wood burner takes pride of place, and a generous super-king-bed and the two singles are tucked into the curved walls.

Step outside and you’ll find your own picnic bench, perfectly positioned for a relaxed al fresco dinner. When it’s time to eat, fire up the charcoal BBQ, or make your way to the shared kitchen and dining area located just a few steps away. After dinner, gather around your private fire pit and toast marshmallows beneath the stars. A shared shower block with your own private shower and WC completes the glamping setup.
