Enjoy the great outdoors in style at this glamping yurt sitting in a complex of eight yurts in a wildflower meadow on the grounds of the historic Raynham Estate. Sleeping five people across one super-king-size bed and three singles, it’s an excellent choice for small families or groups of friends seeking a tranquil countryside retreat to call home while they explore the beauty of the Norfolk countryside together. History and art-lovers will adore visiting the 18th-century Houghton Hall (8 miles), which was commissioned by Robert Walpole, Britain’s first Prime Minister. Take a tour through the opulent staterooms, browse the rotating exhibitions, and take a stroll in the grounds, home to deer. For a seaside adventure, make a beeline for Holkham Beach (15 miles), where you’ll find pristine sand dunes and sweeping North Sea views. For a little excitement, treat yourself to a big day out at Fakenham Racecourse (4 miles).

Park in your private parking area (there’s room for two cars) and head inside your chic glamping retreat. Take a moment to soak up the calming, rustic decor, which showcases a tasteful pale wooden floor, geometric wall and ceiling latticing, and a characterful wood burner. A generous super-king-size bed and three singles sit below the soaring circular ceiling. The whole space is bathed in light that pours in through a central skylight. A convenient en-suite bathroom with a shower and WC completes the layout.

Outside the yurt, you’ll find a quaint space with a charcoal BBQ, picnic bench and fire pit – the perfect place for al fresco dining and stargazing. Alternatively, you’ll find a shared kitchen/dining area nearby. A nearby shared shower block with a private shower and WC for your use completes the layout.
