The Townshend family have farmed at Raynham for centuries. Like all farmers, we are diversifying into other types of business including hospitality and renewables, and we manage 8 luxury yurts in our parkland.

Inspired by nature, this beautifully situated site has just 8 luxury hand-crafted yurts sleeping up to 37 people, making it ideally suited to small groups of friends and families looking for quality time away together in a peaceful environment with luxury accommodation. We offer a 15% discount when the whole site is booked with a single payment. Individual yurt bookings are, of course, also welcomed.

The site sits peacefully in the heart of the Norfolk countryside in a wildflower meadow surrounded by the parkland of the historic Raynham Hall. The local countryside, with its public footpaths and quiet country lanes, is ideal for walking and cycling and you're only 20 minutes' drive from the wide sandy beaches of Wells and Holkham.

The yurts sleep up to either 4 (2 adults, 2 children) or 5 (2 adults, 3 children) comfortably, in a super-king size bed and two/three singles. Settle down for an evening under the stars, with a skylight above the bed offering an alternative way to star-gaze if it's a little chilly outside; and a wood burning stove to keep you toasty and warm.

Each yurt has its own toilet and shower solely for their use and two of the bigger yurts (Corncockle and Clover) have attached ensuite facilities. Each yurt has its own outdoor seating area with BBQ, phone charging point, bedside crates and lamps, lanterns, cushions, throws, and rugs. There is a communal kitchen with ample cooking and washing-up space, utensils and crockery and a separate group firepit.

One of our yurts, Poppy, is available for you to bring up to 2 well-behaved dogs at an extra charge. Please ensure that you choose Poppy only as the rest of the site is dog-free. You will find this option under 'extras'. There is dog walking adjacent to the site, but we ask that dogs are kept on leads throughout the site itself and are not taken into the communal kitchen and dining area.

Neighborhood info

We are close to some very good local pubs and restaurants including Sculthorpe Mill which has recently been awarded a Michelin Bib and is perfect for pub lovers and foodies. The Dabbling Duck at Great Massingham, Brisley Bell and The Duck at Stanhoe are also local favourites, or for really special occasions there's Morston Hall near Blakeney.

Burnham Market, only 20 minutes away, hosts several delightful coffee shops and good restaurants or if you prefer a relaxed family meal, head over to Eric's Fish & Chips or Pizza restaurant in Thornham. There you will find a farm shop, ice-cream parlour, lifestyle stores and garden centre alongside the vast apple orchards.
