In the heart of the bustling village of Bowness-on-Windermere, this fully refurbished, contemporary holiday apartment has been recently renovated with views of the lake and hills from the living room window, provides an ideal base to explore southern Lakeland. Just a short walk to the landing stage for ferry trips to Lakeside where there is the fascinating Aquarium of the Lakes and delightful Haverthwaite to Lakeside Steam Railway. Activities in the area include water sports, climbing, fell walking and cycling. Historic houses and gardens, museums and other cultural centres are within a short drive, whilst the beaches of the western lakes can be reached within an hour. There is a launderette 1/2 mile away. Shop and pub 10 yards.
Add-ons are available for garage space to store bikes, kayaks, canoes, and four mountain bikes and a paddle board are also available to hire, agreeable at an extra charge direct with the owner.

What an absolutely fabulous area! There’s so much to see and do, with Strawberries and Cream only a few minutes’ walk from the lake, where the views are simply breathtaking. The local shops and restaurants are right on your doorstep. It’s hard to pull yourself away! And who wouldn’t love being next to an all-year-round Christmas shop? No matter the season, it’s a must-visit. The apartment itself was warm, cosy, and had everything I needed, including spotless linen and towels, plus private parking

The apartment is in a prime spot close to the shops, restaurants and the Lake. We enjoyed our stay in Bowness-on- Windermere. The apartment, especially the Bathroom, as mentioned by others is a little “tired” and requires improvement. The main bedroom mattress is not very comfortable- it slopes to the sides? We were going to swap to the twin bedroom however, as also previously mentioned by other guests, it was clear the sheets had not been changed.
