Guests say

Fair Rigg Old Farm is highly praised for its warm, welcoming atmosphere and beautiful, secure gardens, ideal for dogs. The AGA cooking experience is a highlight, and the property's cleanliness and comfort are frequently commended. Its location offers great local walks and is central for touring. While some guests mention minor issues, the overall sentiment is extremely positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Most reviews describe the property as clean and well-prepared for guests. However, a few guests encountered issues with flies and unclean kitchen drawers, slightly affecting the overall cleanliness score.

The property's location is generally appreciated for its nice local walks and central position for touring. Some guests, however, noted traffic noise, which detracted from the otherwise serene setting.

Guests find the property comfortable, with special mentions of the warm AGA, comfortable beds, and cosy atmosphere. The only minor discomfort noted was the warmth from the AGA during summer and low ceilings.

The property's facilities, especially the kitchen and AGA, are well-received. However, some guests noted a lack of sharp knives, a small TV, and the absence of a downstairs toilet, suggesting room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

Guests frequently mention a welcome pack, which adds a thoughtful touch to their stay. It is important to note that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every visit.

2nd time stayed. Would definitely come again. Clean and tidy. Lovely location. However everyone in our party commented on how much a downstairs toilet/bathroom/shower room would improve the cottage. Make use of the study room. Also TV bit small for the room and we felt not enough logs left for fire. Not realising they were limited till we were there didn’t allow us to bring our own. But all small details. Overall really enjoyed our stay. Thanks

The place ticked all the boxes for us. Quiet location in a perfect setting. The cottage’s had everything to make the stay so comfortable. Would certainly recommend it to anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle.

The garden is great and snowdrops were so pretty and dog walks from the door. The outside garage/utility was fabulous for the dog and wet walking gear. We were very comfortable in the lovely house and the beds were very comfy. 3 bathrooms were great. Only thing we missed was a hairdryer. Quiet location but close to all services by car. Aga was wonderful and we were warm and cosy. Cot and highchair were great for our grandson. Thank you
