This 19th century chapel has been converted into two apartments with Old Chapel occupying the ground floor with its own private entrance. It offers a cosy, open plan living space with a light and airy feel, two comfortable bedrooms and a bathroom. Enjoy views to the front over the Lyth Valley from the dining and seating areas and from the private patio there are views to the rear over the fields. The area has many local walks to suit all abilities, while a short drive will take you to either the West Cumbrian Coast, the Yorkshire Dales or the heart of the Lake District. Attractions in the immediate area include Levens Hall, with its world famous topiary gardens, and National Trust’s Sizergh Castle. You are also on the border of the Lake District National Park, with Lake Windermere just 10 minutes away. The market towns of Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale are also within easy reach as is the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Beach 6¾ miles. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

The accommodation was fine for the 2 of us but it would be very compact for 4 as the bedrooms are small. We found the remotes for the TV were short of a battery There was no welcome pack, as promised. The village has an excellent shop and there is also a very good pub, which has excellent food and beer. Plenty of nice walks locally.

Great place, great location and cottage is brilliant.Parking is slightly tight but ok.The place above can be quite noisy and a lot of moving about and shuffling which does echo through the ceiling especially at night.Apart from that a massive thank you to the owners a lovely place to stay and very comfortable.

Lovely little cottage, very clean!A small saucepan would have been very useful!The upstairs neighbours can be very noisy at times, woke me up more than once.Lovely village with well equipped shop and great pub serving good food.
