It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The area was quiet and it was great to have a parking space by the front door and a secluded garden. It was also handy to have a well stocked local shop just up the road. The location was ideal for visiting Kendal, Keswick and the south lakes and we would definitely consider staying again.

Quiet, rural setting - although you can be woken by dawn chorus. Excellent village shop with loads of speciality items. Very good ‘gastropub’ also. Our only disappointment was that the fish & chip van that used to come into the village on a Wednesday evening no longer does so.
