An excellent cottage in Kentmere in the Lake District. The cottage was very clean and well equipped with everything you might need. The owner Jeff lives next door and is extremely helpful.

Nice, clean house, somewhat isolated, which is very peaceful. The road to the house is narrow and curvy, so slow driving is necessary and be prepared to reverse when encountering oncoming traffic. No mobile signal, but wifi is good. Near Lake Windermere, a nice touristic place with lots of restaurants. Ambleside is another very nice town nearby. Very much possibilities of walking, climbing; for instance (the old man of) Coniston.

We had a wonderful stay at fell view cottage. The location was beautiful with stunning views of the Kentmere Horseshoe. A perfect location to walk the horseshoe straight from the cottage too. Kentmere itself is a lovely village, and Staveley is just a short drive away with a local shop, pub and some nice coffee shops etc. The cottage was clean and tidy, and had everything we needed for our stay. Mr Walker was a lovely host and very friendly. We’ll definitely return!
