This was our 2nd stay at Beech Hill, the first was in 2022. We didnt spot any changes. The property is still quiet, well equipped, nicely decorated, warm, clean, and comfortable, with lovely views and super easy access to the town. Parking is a small issue as it's a minute or 2 walk from the property, but we've always found a spot using the supplied permit and it's never poured with rain as we've packed or unpacked. We walked into Kendal a few times and also visited Windermere, Coniston, Sedbergh, Dent, etc. We did day trips every day and so didn't use the rear outside area. The slate steps are quite steep and might possibly be slippy when wet or in winter, but there's a handrail and I had no difficulty putting the rubbish out through the back gate (which, incidentally, doesnt currently close properly and so can't be locked). My wife missed having a full length mirror, but for me, I can't think of anything I needed that wasn't there. The internet bandwidth was good so the kids were happy; the tv could be bigger, I suppose, but it'll depend on what you're used to. I really appreciated the choice of art throughout (Abbot Hall art gallery is well worth a visit and you can walk there easily enough from the house) and theres a nice selection of books & music, too. And lastly, Kendal Council's refuge management are incredible and it does make managing the kitchen a lot easier - all waste goes in one bag and they sort out the recyclables; I wish my local council did that. Thanks for a great autumn holiday, we hope to be back again in a few years time.

Second trip here as it is near our son and family. House is excellent for our needs and well equipped. The views over Kendal are fantastic. There are a fair number of steps involved especially unloading the car to the house and the one toilet is upstairs .
