When sleep calls, retire to the sumptuous double bedroom to watch your favourite film from the comfort of the covers before drifting off to a calming nights embrace. Tackle the challenging climb to the summit of Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in the country, towering a staggering 978 metres, and take in the breath-taking views stretching as far as the Mourne Mountains in Northern Ireland from the top. No trip to The Lakes would be complete without a visit to Lake Windermere, the largest lake in England, offering tranquil cruises to the surrounding towns of Ambleside and Bowness, and exciting watersports opportunities for the thrill seekers of the group. For your next getaway to The Lakes, choose a romantic escape to Cobble Cottage.

The tiniest of things will not stop us booking again: the toilet never flushes clean and there's no brush to help out afterwards so a handful of loo roll and a manual clean is required.

Decor was beautiful. Slept well all week. The little extras such as tea, coffee, milk and beers was a bonus and much appreciated . Lovely stay at this property.

Loved the decor. Everything perfect, quiet location, parking easy on the green, easy walk to town. Only downside, internet connection very patchy, obviously not owners' fault and did not spoil our break. Would stay here again.
