Pooley Bridge is a charming town on the northwestern shore of Lake Ullswater in the Lake District National Park. The name Pooley was given to the town after the fast-flowing River Eamont created a vast pool, and the term Bridge was added later when a 250-year-old bridge was built over the river. Pooley Bridge is home to a number of ancient inns and appealing tea houses, as well as the Ullswater Steamers, which depart from the village.

Beautiful cottage with everything you need for a great holiday. Off road parking in a quiet location. Immaculately clean and well looked after. Pooley bridge is a lovely little place, a great base for walking and visiting places, good pubs and places to eat on the doorstep. I have stayed in Woodview three times and will definitely be back.

It was comfortable, clean and well equipped. Lovely view of Dunmallard Hill from the living roon window. We enjoyed it that much we have already booked again.
