The Rowans is pleasantly situated on a quiet residential estate only a 10 minute walk from the town centre. Just had our 2nd stay at the Rowan's,what a fabulous place,ideal place to stay for access to the lake and walks,The bungalow was very well equipped and lovely and clean, outside space was great.Thanks for having us Shelagh hopefully we will be back soon.

A very cosy, warm, comfortable and well-equipped cottage in an ideal location for visiting Keswick and walking the neighbouring fells. There was a problem as the cleaning of the bungalow hadn’t been completed prior to our arrival. It is therefore difficult to assess the normal standard of cleanliness. The only drawback from our point of view is that if, like us, you have a very active dog (border collie) who insists on climbing the fells whatever the weather, there isn’t anywhere convenient to wipe him down and take off muddy boots and wet waterproofs. The back door (more like a patio door) leads directly into the back bedroom rather than the kitchen. We were fortunate to have a gap in the rain to dry him off outside. Apart from this, the accommodation is very good.
