Guests say

The Birches in Keswick is highly praised for its spaciousness, excellent location within walking distance of the town centre, and suitability for large family or group stays. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, ample parking, and large enclosed garden, making it ideal for both children and dogs. While some mention the property feels a little tired in places and could benefit from a deeper clean or minor maintenance, the majority found it comfortable, clean, and well-appointed, with many returning for repeat visits. Overall, it offers great value and a welcoming base for exploring Keswick and the surrounding area.

Most guests found the property clean and tidy, with improvements noted over time. However, several reviews mention the need for a deeper clean, particularly for carpets and upholstery, and occasional issues such as dog stains or a smelly dishwasher. Overall, cleanliness is generally good but with some room for improvement.

The location is consistently praised as excellent, with easy walking access to Keswick town centre, local parks, and scenic walks. Guests highlight the convenience and pleasant surroundings, making it a standout feature of the property.

Guests frequently comment on the spaciousness, comfortable beds, and cosy living areas. The house is warm and well-suited for large groups, with plenty of bathrooms and seating. A few minor issues with temperature on arrival and tired furnishings are noted, but overall comfort is rated highly.

The property is well-equipped with kitchen appliances, multiple bathrooms, and ample parking. The large garden is a bonus for families and dog owners. Some guests mention minor maintenance issues (e.g., broken fence, shower drainage, missing utensils), but these do not detract significantly from the overall positive experience.

A few guests noted the lack of a welcome pack or basic supplies such as tea, coffee, and extra loo rolls. While some improvements in equipment and supplies have been observed over time, gifts or welcome packs are not guaranteed and may not always be provided.

A large spacious house for a family gathering. Nice to have a large garden that’s child friendly.

We had a lovely stay at this property. It was quite good vslue for the money we paid. The house itself is spacious and in a great central location, making it very convenient for getting around. It comfortably accommodated five adults easily, and the beds were very comfortable.  The large garden is also a nice feature, offering plenty of outdoor space and parking for 2 cars. We did feel there were a few areas that could be improved. The garden, while generous in size, had some old broken fencing left on the grass, which took away from its overall appeal. Inside, the house would benefit from a thorough deep clean, and the settee in particular could do with upholstery cleaning.Additionally, the property feels a bit tired in places and would benefit from some general redecoration and a few more homely touches to make it feel more welcoming.Overall, it’s a good-sized property in a great location, but with some attention to cleanliness and maintenance, it could offer a much better experience.
