If the younger members of the group choose to be in their own space, there is also a separate living room. You can leave the car and venture out on foot, and why not catch a boat across the lake to start the stunning walk up Catbells? Families can enjoy the Puzzling Place or the Derwent Pencil Museum, or for a more sophisticated evening try the Theatre by the Lake or the Alhambra Cinema. Further afield the Lakes Distillery, 8 miles, offers fine dining and tours, and the Lake District Wildlife Park at Bassenthwaite, 8 miles, is perfect for all the family.
