Guests say

Jacky Garth Cottage in Keswick offers a cosy, clean, and well-equipped stay with picturesque views and convenient access to local walks and pubs. Guests appreciate the warm welcome, including a welcome pack, and the property's charm and character, despite some minor maintenance issues.

The cottage consistently receives high praise for its cleanliness, with guests noting it as one of the cleanest places they've stayed. The attention to detail in maintaining a tidy environment is evident, although there was a single mention of dog waste in the garden.

The location is highly regarded for its stunning views, proximity to local amenities, and easy access to Keswick and walking trails. The village setting is appreciated for its tranquillity and convenience, with two local pubs and a coffee shop within walking distance.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of the cosy atmosphere and comfy beds. However, some guests noted issues with low ceilings and doorways, and a sloping floor in the main bedroom, which may affect taller individuals.

The cottage is well-equipped, with a fully stocked kitchen and comfortable furnishings. Some guests experienced minor maintenance issues such as problematic door catches, a non-functioning can opener, and heating adjustments. A plumber was promptly arranged for an urgent issue.

While guests express gratitude for the welcome pack and find it a thoughtful touch, there is insufficient information to determine if such gifts are consistently provided or to assess the overall thoughtfulness of the host. Therefore, a score cannot be assigned, and guests should note that such amenities are not guaranteed.

It has everything you need the space, the kitchen which is very modern has all the equipment you need including a dishwasher. The garden is enclosed which helps with your dogs as you can leave them to roam and know they are secure. It's close to all amenities and just a flat 5km walk to Keswick.

Beautiful cottage, great location reasonable size garden which would be lovely in the summer, we had a slight issue with the heating which was resolved quickly without any fuss, The village also lost power for about 6 hours, luckily the cottage owners had supplied plenty of torches and board games to keep us entertained, we really enjoyed our stay and hopefully we will be back in the summer
