Another wonderful stay at the beautiful Hazels Cottage. Perfect location with a little shop next door and in walking distnace of the toen centre. The host has thought of all extras for example, wine and crisps and little chocs on the beds. Fantatstic well equipt kitchen filled with everything you coukd need for a self catering cottage even little washing pods were provided which was so helpful after a rainy day. Beautiful decor with amazing lights. We felt so at home and have alrwady booked for our 3rd visit. Cannot recommend enough

As a family of 4 and our first visit to Keswick we had a great stay at Hazel Cottage. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped with the much added bonus of secure allocated parking in the nearby church, as well as being an easy walk into the town centre. Having read some reviews re: noise due to the shop being two doors down this did not really bother us (and with it being a busy school holiday week) so I wouldn't let that deter you from booking. We'll definitely be back to Keswick in the future and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Unfortunately this cottage was not for us, while it is centrally located within Keswick and close to all amenities and the parking permit was great as the area is very busy. The actual location of the cottage next door but one to a spa shop open 7am -10pm every day was very disruptive. We were woken every single morning by noisy 5:30 - 6am deliveries to the spa shop, and late at night (After midnight) by drunk noisy folk using in front of the cottage as a through road to get home. It was not in any way restful or relaxing I’m afraid. The beds in the cottage are uncomfortable and squeaky, and the shower pressure in the bathroom is terrible but it is an electric shower, to run a bath with the water pressure from the taps took around 45 mins to run it fully. The owner apparently says it has excellent water pressure….. The kitchen was fine with all amenities needed, the owner has stated in response to fair criticism mainly about the shop next door ! That it took her cleaner over an hour to clean oven mess that we left! , sadly this is an exaggeration we used the oven once during our stay and ate out every other night ! The owner did leave a welcome pack of wine biscuits and crisps which was lovely along with a lot of notes around the cottage to provide help and instruction. The owner has stated we paid *removed by Feefo* per night in half term for 3 people and a dog and yes that would have been good value had we got any restful nights sleep at all which sadly we did not.. we came back exhausted. Plus, it wasn’t even half term in Keswick kids were at school and constantly screaming and yelling past the window early mornings ! . Clearly this owner does not accept any form of Negative criticism and only wants positive feedback ! We felt the space overall for us was a bit cramped so with that and the noise levels from The local shop we would not return to Hazels cottage. Light sleepers would really struggle here. While we appreciate it is a lovely “quaint” little cottage a break to the lakes is supposed to be relaxing and this was most definitely not.
