Enter through the front door and head up the stairs before hanging your coats up and exploring your indoor surroundings. Upstairs has a slightly larger kitchen and a smaller shower room, but GF has a smaller kitchen and a larger shower room. Upstairs has an area to hang coats, etc. Outside, there is a large courtyard with seating and room to park. Before unpacking, take a seat at the dining table with a cup of tea and decide on a plan of action for the day so you can begin your adventure.

After a day of exploring, the sitting room offers a delightful spot to unwind with a glass of wine and your favourite TV shows, while binging on a feast prepared in the modest kitchen with a wide array of appliances for all of your culinary requirements. If you’re visiting in the summer months, the courtyard offers a brilliant spot to soak in the sun; a shared courtyard with ample seating, bring a good book to the front of the property and unwind in the tranquil settings. Between the magnificent northern lakes of Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite, lies the village of Braithwaite. Still retaining much of its traditional appeal, the Coledale Beck runs through the village with whitewashed Lakeland cottages, two village shops and two real ale Inns each brimming with character! Between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw, there really is something for everyone. Visit Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the lake with an open-air theatre, or take a trip around the lake. Lake District Wildlife Park, Dodd Wood, Derwentwater, and Keswick with its wide range of attractions, are also within easy reach.
