Walk along the disused Keswick to Threlkeld Railway track or head up to the Neolithic stones at Castlerigg (2 miles).

Whinlatter Forest, with its fantastic bike tracks and walks for all abilities, is less than 5 miles away. And for water sports enthusiasts, if you want to take to the water kayaking, paddleboarding or relax on a steamer, then Ullswater (15.5 miles) is a must-visit.
